A fee schedule and a fee schedule plan are not the same things. If you want to use your dental plan as well as you can, you will need to know which is which.
A fee schedule is just a list of the charges for specific dental care services. Dentists and dental plan carriers set their fee schedule charges based on a concept known as UCR, which stands for “usual, customary and reasonable” fees.
