Provider

A provider refers to a dental professional (e.g., a dentist, a dental hygienist, an oral surgeon, etc.) from whom a patient receives care. A provider can be a facility as well as a person.

Providers who are in a contractual relationship with an insurance company and participate in the insurer’s provider network is considered in-network.
