Invisalign® Braces
Invisalign® braces are orthodontic devices used to straighten crooked teeth but differ from traditional braces in several ways. First, instead of being anchored to the teeth, Invisalign® uses clear alignment trays that are worn over the teeth. As teeth straighten, old aligners are replaced by new aligners until the desired straightening is achieved. Second, Invisalign® braces can be removed by the patient (though this is recommended for short periods since it is recommended that Invisalign® be worn for 20 to 22 hours a day). Third, Invisalign® braces are less noticeable than traditional braces because they are a clear plastic cover over the teeth.
