Claims Processing

Claims processing refers to the procedures and activities involved in an insurance company’s examination of claims to determine if they should be paid, rejected (otherwise known as denied), or reimbursed at a lower rate. Normally it is a dentist or dental practice that submits the claim to the insurance company for dental care provided to an enrollee within the insurance company’s dental plan.
