History
Symetra Life Insurance Company has a legacy of selling insurance products going back nearly 50 years. On Aug. 2, 2004 our companies were purchased by an investor group led by White Mountains Insurance Group, Ltd., and Berkshire Hathaway Inc., and became the privately held group of companies known today as Symetra Life Insurance Company.
Preferred 45 Plan
This is a PPO (Preferred Provider Organization) fee schedule plan that allows you to visit any of the 20,000 nationwide participating dentists. Although you have the opportunity to visit out-of-network dentists, you should keep in mind that the insurance will reimburse the dentist based on a fee schedule and your out of pocket expense will be higher than an in-network dentist would charge.
